JLF Firm Legal Scholars Award 2022

The JLF Firm Legal Scholars Award will award a $6,000 scholarship to a law student. Entering and current law students are encouraged to apply for the award that may be used to pay for tuition and fees at the recipient’s law school. One scholarship will be awarded.

Law Firm Scholarship Program

The law firm scholarship program will support the education of a law student who shows exceptional academic promise and potential to contribute to the legal profession. The purpose of the program is to further the education of an outstanding student, encourage academic excellence and remove financial barriers to a legal education.

Application Instructions

To apply for the JLF Firm Legal Scholars Award, submit the following:

• Your name
• Current academic transcript and GPA
• Where you attend or will attend law school
• An essay that addresses the following questions: Why are you attending law school? What do you hope to do with your law degree? How would the JLF Firm Legal Scholars Award help you achieve your goals?
• Anything else you want to submit including test scores, recommendation letters and community involvement
• Contact information including your phone number, email address and mailing address

If you’re planning to enroll in law school in a future term, submit proof of acceptance/enrollment. You may be asked for additional verification.

Application Deadline

The scholarship program will run from August 15 to December 15, 2022. To apply, submit all application materials by December 15, 2022.

The JLF Firm is proud to support future lawyers by creating the JLF Firm law student financial aid scholarship. We know that outstanding legal training is instrumental to developing practical skills and creating a solid foundation for success in the legal profession. We are committed to assisting the next generation of lawyers by contributing to the legal education of an outstanding student with exceptional promise.

The JLF Firm represents accident victims including car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls and other injury cases. We are dedicated to the highest quality of legal practice and advocacy for our clients, working to maximize their claim recovery.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Anyone pursuing a law degree may apply. Incoming/first-year students, future students, first generation, 1Ls/2Ls/3Ls, women, minorities and older students are encouraged to apply. You must be a United States citizen or lawful resident of the United States.

Decisions of the scholarship committee are final. You may apply once per scholarship period. The recipient may be asked to verify any of the information in their application as a condition of receiving the award.

The winner will be notified by any of the contact methods provided. They must respond within three days. The award is payable to the recipient’s law school towards the student’s tuition and fees. The recipient must cooperate to provide information necessary to facilitate payment of the award. The recipient must provide a professional photograph of themselves, and they agree to the release of their application information, essay and photograph in press releases, online and in media, including websites and social media. If the recipient fails to abide by any term or condition, they forfeit the award.
