2021 JLF Firm Law School Scholarship
Continuing higher education can be financially challenging and poses a significant financial investment.
The Orange County personal injury attorneys at The JLF Firm believe in the importance of supporting the next generation of professionals. To that end, they have set up the 2021 JLF Firm Law School Scholarship in the amount of $5000.
Attorney Jeff Fayngor, the founder of The JLF Firm, is committed to supporting the education of future attorneys and therefore to ensuring legal support for communities throughout California and across the US.
The $5000 JLF Firm Law School Scholarship will provide financial aid (in the form of direct tuition payment to the law school) to a future attorney.
Deadlines
The essay submission deadline is July 31, 2021. The award recipient will be announced within thirty (30) days of the stated deadline. The award will be paid out within thirty (30) days of announcement of the award and will be sent directly to the recipient’s institution. The winner will be required to show proof of enrollment and the financial award will only be paid directly to the accredited college/university.
Essay Question
Explain why you’re inspired to become an attorney, and how you plan to use your law degree to help your community. The essay should be between 1000 and 3000 words.

All applications must be sent to scholarship@jlffirm.com. Applications sent by any other method will not be accepted.
The application must be submitted by PDF only (no word documents or any other formats). Essays in any other format will not be accepted.

- Degree you are pursuing as well as year of study (freshman, junior, sophomore, senior or 1L, 2L, or 3L)
- All applications must include an official copy of student’s college/university transcript.
Eligibility
The JLF Firm Attorney scholarship is available to all U.S. citizens who have accepted admission into an accredited college/university within the U.S. for the 2021-2022 school year, and to current law school students who will still be attending law school in the U.S. during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Judging Criteria
Judging will be completed by a panel of qualified members of The JLF Firm.
Judging will be based upon the candidate’s fulfillment of entry criteria and their ability to clearly and concisely convey their answer to the essay question.
Applicants will receive an email verifying that they have been selected to receive this award.
The Fine Print
All submissions become the property of the JLF Law Firm. By applying for this scholarship program, the applicant grants the JLF Law Firm and its agents and/or representatives’ permission to post the applicant’s name, name of school, other identifying information (year of attendance, field of study, etc.), and the winning entry on the firm’s website https://jlffirm.com and other marketing platforms such as law firm blogs, law firm social media accounts, and marketing campaigns.
The winner of the scholarship is responsible for payment of all applicable taxes (Federal, State or both) and agrees to provide needed information for completion of any tax documentation.
